<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gauge meter reading system which allows acquisition of highly reliable measurement data by improving measurement accuracy even when utilizing image data obtained from a display part of a gauge meter. <P>SOLUTION: In a gauge meter reading system, image data obtained by photographing a display part of a gauge meter 2 equipped in a building 1 with a camera of a mobile phone 5 carried by a meter reader 3 is transmitted to a management center 9 via a general line 7, and a control device 10 of the center 9 transmits numerical data into which the image data has been converted by a numerical data conversion device 11 to a telephone set 5. The telephone set 5 displays the numerical data on a display screen thereof and transmits to the center 9 a comparison result confirmation signal showing whether a comparison result shows agreement between the numerical data and a meter display value on the display part of the gauge meter 2. The control device 10 stores the numerical data in a database 14 as a read value indicative of measurement data in the case of the comparison result confirmation signal showing agreement, and transmits to the telephone set 5 a request message for re-execution of photographing and acquisition of image data in the case of the comparison result confirmation signal showing disagreement. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
