The present invention relates to a video encoding method, to a video decoding method, and to an apparatus using same. The video encoding method according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: determining a bit depth value per PCM sample for a current block to which a pulse coding modulation (PCM) is applied; and signaling information on the bit depth per PCM sample, wherein the information on the bit depth per PCM sample may contain the value of a difference with a reference value of the bit depth per PCM sample for the current block.
