An optical element capable of reducing distortion caused by holding, a holding structure for holding said optical element, and an optical device are provided. The optical element is provided with a first surface, a second surface on the opposite side, an optical surface, and protrusions, and is held in a prescribed position by the protrusions being in contact with a holding member. The protrusions include a first protrusion and a second protrusion. The first protrusion has the shape of a convex arc in at least one longitudinal cross-section, and a portion thereof includes a first contact portion which contacts the holding member. The second protrusion has the shape of a convex arc in at least one longitudinal cross-section, and a portion thereof includes a second contact portion which contacts the holding member. In at least one cross-section passing through the point of contact between the first contact portion and the holding member, and the point of contact between the second contact portion and the holding member, there exist an arc configuring the first contact portion and an arc configuring the second contact portion, and the center of the arc configuring the first contact portion coincides with the center of the arc configuring the second contact portion.
