This information processing device is provided with: an assessment unit for assessing whether or not the relationship between biometric information acquired from a living being and biometric information stored in a storage unit satisfy a predetermined criterion; a creation unit for creating first authentication information by detecting predetermined operations if the relationship between the biometric information acquired from the living being and the biometric information stored in the storage unit do not satisfy the predetermined criterion; a comparison unit for comparing the first authentication information with second authentication information stored in the storage unit; and an activation unit for activating the information processing device if the first authentication information and the second authentication information match. The predetermined operations include: a tap operation in which, after the living being moves from a first area to a second area different from the first area, the living being moves from the second area to the first area; and a scroll operation in which the living being moves from the first area in a predetermined direction. |
