The object area-specifying unit (121) specifies an object area from the result of comparing a first predicted received dose of a bypassed area calculated by a first predicted received dose-calculating unit (122) and the dose detection signals of detection pixels (65) in the irradiation field. The receptor field area-specifying unit (123) specifies a receptor field area from the result of comparing a second predicted received dose for the receptor field area in the region of interest of highest diagnostic concern and the dose detection signals of detection pixels (65) in the irradiation field and the object area. The dose detection signals of detection pixels (65) that are specified as the receptor field area are used for AEC. AEC receptor fields can thereby be easily and quickly established.</p>
