An inhibitor for corneal epithelial cell death induced by ultraviolet irradiation and/or dryness, the inhibitor dramatically inhibits the decline of the number of living cells in corneal epithelial cells induced by ultraviolet irradiation or dryness as a result of combining hyaluronic acid or a salt thereof with flavin adenine dinucleotide or a salt thereof.
