<p>In a multi-display system comprising multiple display devices 111, 112 each configured to display a part of an image, a data source 105 connected to each display device detects a failure of a communications link between the data source and a first display device. The data source then sends data to a second display device, containing first image data 141 intended for the first display device as well as second image data 142 intended for the second display device. The second display acts as a relay, to transfer the first image data to the first display device. This allows the operation of the multi-display device even in circumstances where a connection has failed or is of poor quality, particularly in wireless arrangements. Different transmitters 101, 102 may be used to send the image data. The failure of the communications link may be determined by data transmitted by the display device.</p> |
