The method involves attaching a bank indicator body (7) to marking rings (9a) that are arranged at a distance from each other in a longitudinal direction of the body, where the body has a hollow space that is partially filled with fluid. The body is connected with a bank indicator support (6) at an outer side of a sprit level and/or a profile body (1) of the sprit level. Support units are formed by outer projections or limitations of the support, where the support units are attached to complementary longitudinal wall sections (2, 11) of the sprit level. An independent claim is also included for a sprit level comprising a profile body and a bank indicator.
