A portal (40), suitable for use in conjunction with an awning (10), the portal (40) comprising a roof (22) and side walls (24) and further comprising fixing means operatively affixable, in use, to a vehicle (12) located at least partially within the portal (40). The portal (40) suitably comprises an awning (10), the awning (10) comprising: a support frame; a canvas supported by the support frame; a closeable entrance (20) aperture in the canvas providing access to the interior of canvas; and a portal (40) surrounding the entrance aperture (20), said portal (40) comprising a roof (42) and side walls (44) extending away from the entrance aperture (20) and further comprising fixing means (50, 52) operatively affixable, in use, to the exterior of a vehicle (12) located at least partially within the portal (40). |
