PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to have a protrusion part and to stably connect terminals and to form insulating members by insert-molding, thereby easily installing the terminals and insulating members on a cap plate. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery(101) comprises an electrode assembly which includes a positive electrode and a negative electrode; a case(40) with a space for mounting the electrode assembly; a cap plate(31) coupled to the case; a base part(23a) which is electrically connected to the electrode assembly and is located on the cap plate; and terminals(23,24) with a protrusion part which is protruded from the base part and separated from a structure located on the lower part of the secondary battery. One end of the protrusion part is fixed to the base part.
