The invention relates to a process for obtaining pharmaceutical use sodium chloride and to an installation for carrying out the process. According to the invention, the process consists in dissolving while stirring the alimentary use sodium chloride having a sulphate ion content ranging from 0.09...0.34%, sulphate removing by barium chloride, discharging and repeatedly settling the suspension containing precipitated barium sulphate, collecting the supernatant and passing the solution through filtering columns filled with purified and activated quartz sand having a grain size of 0.5...1.5 mm which retains the barium sulphate and sodium silicate microparticles, then the solution is passed through filtering columns filled with cation exchange resin which retains the calcium, magnesium and possibly barium ions and then subjected to a crystallizing-drying stage, thereby resulting a sodium chloride with a content of up to 0.002% calcium and 0.0002% copper, 0.0001% iron, 0.005% potassium and 0.001% magnesium, respectively. The claimed installation consists of a reaction vessel () provided with stirring means, some settling vessels (), some intermediary collecting vessels (), some filtering columns () with quartz sand and some filtering columns with cation exchange resin (), respectively.
|
