The invention relates to municipal engineering and can be used for flattening plastic bottles to safe volume for plastic bottles thus increasing stock capacity in containers and in vehicles body. A device for flattening plastic bottles comprises a horizontal container with a drive arranged on a load-carrying chassis, a loading and discharging sections, a also a pressure spring-loaded plate inclined positioned above the conveyor discharging section for gradual flattening plastic bottles, a raised rear part of which is hinge connected on side supports at the beginning of said section and lowered front free end portion is provided with stretched springs with a limiters of their displacement downward and preventing contact with the upper branch of the horizontal conveyor. A novel feature is characterized in that the load-carrying chassis is mounted on a bridge support with a recess for positioning therein an accumulating container on wheels and partially net side walls and also a window is designed above the container for discharging flattered plastic bottles; the horizontal conveyor is a plate structure with width sufficient to put thereon plastic bottles of different shape and size only in a longitudinal position convenient for turning them in a horizontal position due to their very firm uncreaseable bottom, wherein punchers are arranged on the conveyor plate members for punching circular walls of a plastic bottle without manual unscrewing caps therefrom, the punchers having wedge-shaped upper portion are more preferable to punchers with conical upper portion since the wedge-shaped punchers have greater height for providing both punching, gripping and overturning plastic bottles to a horizontal position due to their very firm uncreaseable bottom; grooves are provided on the front free potion of the pressure plate for free movement of punchers through them; the discharging portion of the conveyor is wider than the cross dimension of the pressure plate and has side walls for preventing their unproper movement; a kicker of flattened plastic bottles is provided on the conveyor body at the end of its discharging portion; the loading portion of the conveyor has side and end walls for directing bottles into a tunnel with a loading funnel-shaped hopper adapted to load it both by single pieces and in bulk and also providing longitudinal orientation of bottles spontaneously by their weight and by-piece loading in such position into the directing tunnel to the upper branch of the conveyor. |
