Running a browser application at a server and streaming interactive video to a user of the browser with low latency over a network

Disclosed is a method for accelerated web page delivery. The method includes running a web browsing application on one or more servers, the web browsing application being used by a user located a remote distance from the one or more servers. The user interacts with the browsing application via compressed streaming interactive video transmitted over one or more networks. The method also includes providing the user with access to at least one web page of a website via the web browser application, the at least one web page comprising one or more files which include content. The at least one web page is displayed on a client device associated with the user in response to a user request. The method includes displaying the content of the at least one web page in response to the user request with a worse-case latency of 90 milliseconds when the remote distance between the user and the one or more servers is 1500 miles or less.
