The present invention lies in the field of tracking and monitoring persons, more specifically in possible emergency situations with the need to locate said persons in a possible circumstance. The subject matter of the invention consists of an electronic device having different communication, localization and state monitoring means which work together in a coordinated manner such that the device can be configured to detect risk situations and to send an alarm signal to an alarm centre without the need for active intervention by the user carrying the device.
