PURPOSE: An MIMO(Multi Input Multi Output) transceiving system using a hybrid STBC-LCD(Space-Time Block Coding-Linear Dispersion Code) and a transceiving method thereof are provided to improve a symbol error rate according to an SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio) while reducing the complexity of a receiving end. CONSTITUTION: A modulating unit(100) modulates data into source symbols. An STBC encoding unit(120) encodes a part of the modulated source symbols into an STBC transmission matrix by using an STBC encoding technique. An LDC encoding unit(140) encodes the rest of the modulated source symbols into an LDC transmission matrix by using an LED encoding technique. A plurality of first transmitting antennas(160) transmit the STBC transmission matrix. A plurality of second transmitting antennas(180) transmit the LDC transmission matrix.
