<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foundation metal fitting for a solar cell module frame, which allows for simple and rapid foundation construction for the solar cell module frame, having light weight and excellent water-proofness; and a fixation method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: A foundation metal fitting 2 is integrally provided with a fixing member which is located at a foundation part of a solar cell module frame 5 for mounting and fixing the solar cell module 6 on a base surface such as a flat roof and a folded-plate roof and attachable to the solar cell module frame 5, and a mounting bottom foundation plate member which can be fixed to the base surface. The foundation metal fitting 2 is closely contacted with and fixed to the base surface with an adhesive 3. The solar cell module frame 5 is then attached to the fixing member of the closely contacted and fixed foundation metal fitting 2.
