<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and reproducing device/method/medium and a reproducing device/method for recording content other than content on an optical disk in another recording medium, for instance, a recording and reproducing device/method/medium and a reproducing device/method for virtualizing content other than the content on the optical disk as a part of the content on the optical disk and recording the content in another recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: In the recording method for recording information in the recording medium, main information is recorded in a first recording medium, sub information is recorded in a second recording medium, and virtualizing information for virtualizing the sub information as additional information of the main information is recorded in the second recording medium. The recording method includes the steps of: authenticating whether or not the main information or the sub information can be recorded in a third recording medium; and recording the main information and the sub information in the third recording medium.
