<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To float a rotary shaft within a range of allowable hydraulic pressure of a pump, even when a contact area between the rotary shaft and a bearing pad is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: A journal bearing includes: the bearing pad 4 that contacts with an outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft and has a support surface forming a predetermined contact range E between the pad and the rotary shaft; and a pivot that is interposed between the bearing pad 4 and a bearing housing and swingably supports the bearing pad. An annular groove 8 along a felly of the contact range E is formed on the inside of the contact range E of the support surface 5. The journal bearing further includes a high pressure oil supply means for supplying high pressure oil via an oil supply hole 9 drilled in the bearing pad 4 with respect to the groove. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
