In at least one embodiment, the optical element (2) is provided for a lamp (100). The optical element (2) includes an elongated base body (23) with a longitudinal axis (24) and with an interior side (21) and an exterior side (22). Viewed in cross-section, the base body (23) has the shape of at least a part of a hollow body. The optical element (2) further comprises a plurality of convex lenses (25) with a semicircular cross-sectional area. The convex lenses (25) are arranged on the interior side (21) and/or the exterior side (22) of the base body (23), and the convex lenses (25) have an elongated basic shape.
