This power conversion system (S) is equipped with: a reaction device (1) with which hydrogen and an aromatic hydrocarbon are chemically combined under heating; a hydrogen generation device (2) with which the chemically combined hydrogen and aromatic hydrocarbon are again separated into hydrogen and aromatic hydrocarbon; and an engine (3) that supplies exhaust gas as a heat source when the reaction device (1) is heated.
