<p>A variable capacity compressor in which the swash plate and the rotor are linked via a linking mechanism, both ends of which are linked so as to rotate freely, wherein the turning moment acting on the swash plate, including the effect of the link arm, is accurately calculated and the total turning moment acting on the swash plate in the tilt angle-increasing direction at the minimum tilt angle is reduced. The turning moment acting in the direction of increasing swash plate (111) tilt angle due to the setting of the shape, mass and center of gravity of the link arm (121) or of the link arm (121) and a connector integrated therewith is calculated using the sum of the moment component around the center of gravity and the moment component due to centrifugal force acting on the center of gravity. Furthermore, the swash plate, link arm and second connecting pin are set so that, due to the moment MRS+MS that is generated during rotation of the drive shaft by the link arm, the swash plate and the second connecting pin integrated therewith, a tilt angle-increasing moment acts on the swash plate between the minimum tilt angle and a tilt angle (thetab), and a tilt angle-decreasing moment acts at the tilt angle (thetab) and above.</p> |
