Laminate assembly

An assembly including: a laminate which has two parallel panes with a substantially aligned pair of apertures; a fixing device fitted in the apertures, the device having component parts coupled through the apertures from opposed sides of the laminate; wherein sides of the apertures have a taper and the parts of the device are profiled to match the taper.
