<p>Disclosed is an internal combustion engine with a torus-shaped cylinder and a revolving piston, which engine comprises a torus-shaped cylinder (2), switching devices (6, 7, 8) in the cylinder, a piston (9), a seal ring (11), a transmission device (12), a seal spring (16), a combustion chamber (14), a gas duct (15), a gas inlet (5), and a gas outlet (4), wherein the torus-shaped cylinder is provided therein with one or more switching devices to divide the cylinder into segments, and the piston is pushed via intake, compression, combustion, and exhaust processes into the cylinder to revolve about a shaft centre (13) 360°. The engine has a long power displacement and a large driving torque.</p> |
