<p>Provided are a method for driving a ship and a power system for a ship. The method includes: step 1: transferring the heat in the body of water carrying the ship to a boiler (201) provided in the ship via a heat pump device; step 2: vapour formed by the water in the boiler (201) after absorption of the heat driving a steam turbine (206) provided in the ship and causing it to rotate; step 3: the steam turbine (206) driving the screw propellers (209) of the ship in rotation, so as to drive the ship forward. The present invention can absorb a substantial amount of thermal energy in the body of water and convert it into kinetic energy to drive the ship forward, so that the ship can sail far out to sea without carrying any fuel, and the sailing cost thereof is extremely low. At the same time, the converted kinetic energy can also be made available for the compressor and power generator, thereby greatly reducing the environmental pollution of the power system in the ship, and providing a sustainable system.</p> |
