<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in a conventional article management warehouse, wherein a used amount or a remaining amount of a management target medicine cannot be managed. <P>SOLUTION: This article management device 10 includes: a repository 31 (drawer 12) for storing an article; a metering device (electronic balance) 14 for measuring the weight of the article to be stored or taken out in association with the storage or the take-out of the article to/from the repository 31; and a memory device 35 for storing the measurement results of the metering device 14 in association with identification information of the measured article. When the article is a medicine, the used amount of the medicine must be regularly reported to the supervisory agency.
