<p>The control device (1) has a sensor unit that receives sensor data (20.1) about diagnosis mode (DM) and operation mode (BM). A computing unit (10) evaluates sensor data and sensor unit (20) receives diagnosis input data (30.1) and outputs diagnosis output data (30.2) through diagnosis interface (14). The computing unit evaluates parameters to recognize current vehicle state based on given criteria. The computing unit switches main unit from diagnosis mode as function of parameter evaluation into operation mode, if evaluated parameter indicates normal driving state.
