<p>A draft apron for textile machinery comprising a body of rubber-like material in which is embedded a plurality of textile cords is prepared from synthetic resin compositions. The following examples of synthetic resin compositions are given: (1) polymerized chloroprene, zinc oxide, magnesium oxide, "Cumar" (Registered Trade Mark), whiting and cottonseed oil; (2) butadiene-acrylic nitrile copolymer, zinc oxide, benzothiazyl disulphide, whiting and mineral oil; (3) olefine polysulphide resin, zinc oxide, diphenyl guanidine, benzothiazyl disulphide, whiting and stearic acid, these compositions being vulcanized for 30 minutes at 300 DEG F. steam cure; and (4) "Glyptal" (Registered Trade Mark) resin, neoprene binder, and "Bakelite" (Registered Trade Mark) resin, and vulcanizing at 120 minutes at 300 DEG F. dry heat. The neoprene binder may comprise neoprene (polymerized chloroprene), litharge, wood rosin, phenylnaphthylamine, zinc oxide, "Cumar" (Registered Trade Mark), and medium oil.
