<p>1,149,508. N-Amino-2,8-dimethyl-iminodibenzyl. ROCHE PRODUCTS Ltd. 26 Feb., 1968 [28 Feb., 1967], No. 9201/68. Divided out of 1,149,507. Heading C2C. The invention comprises N-amino-2,8-dimethyliminodibenzyl and its acid addition salts. It may be obtained (a) by converting 2,8-dimethyl - iminodibenzyl into its N - nitroso derivative by reaction with NaNO 2 and HCl and reducing this derivative with an alkali-metal aluminium hydride or Zn dust and glacial acetic acid, and if desired, converting the reduction product into an acid addition salt; or (b) by reacting 2,8-dimethyliminodibenzyl with an alkali-metal derivative of (CH 3 ) 2 SO, treating the reaction product with dry ethereal chloramine and, if desired, converting the resulting product into an acid addition salt. Examples are given for the production of the compound.</p> |
