The switch has a switching device region comprising an arcing chamber device and a contact slider device with movable contacts. Fixed contacts (6) are positioned opposite to the movable contacts. A current trigger pulse group with short circuit and overload triggers is arranged in another switching device region. A diaphragm insert (5) is arranged in the former device region and comprises reinforcing bar spacers (11, 12) that are arranged between housing walls of the former device region, where the walls are arranged parallel to arcing metal sheets (13) of the chamber device. The reinforcing bar spacers are designed as projecting transverse webs.
