PURPOSE: An interface device for an exercise device and a method for controlling the moving speed of an avatar in a game using the same are provided to be compatible with various game devices. CONSTITUTION: An interface device for an exercise device comprises a switching controller(210), switches(220), and a keyboard interface part(230). The switching controller generates a switching signal for controlling on and off actions. The switches perform a switching operation according to a generated switching signal. The keyboard interface part controls the movement of an avatar in a game by delivering the on and off action to an external game device.
