Biosensor for detecting cadmium and the manufacturing method thereof

PURPOSE: A biosensor for detecting cadmium and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to ensure high sensitivity and specificity. CONSTITUTION: A gene construct contains a DR_2626 gene promoter of Deinococcus radiodurans and a reporter gene which is operately linked to the promoter. A biosensor for detecting cadmium contains a gene construct-introduced recombinant transformant. A method for detecting cadmium in a sample comprises: a step of exposing a test sample to the biosensor; and a step of measuring expression level of the reporter gene.
