PURPOSE: A gas cutting apparatus and a preheating and cutting method using the same are provided to easily confirm the point of preheating completion by sensing preheating spark generated from an object being cut. CONSTITUTION: A gas cutting apparatus comprises a gas torch(10), a gas feeder(20), and a controller(30). The gas torch is arranged on one side of an object to be cut(60) and ejects preheating gas and/or cutting gas to a preheating point. The gas feeder supplies the preheating gas and/or cutting gas to the gas torch. The controller controls the gas feeder and reciprocates the gas torch around the preheating point. |
