A gate driver is provided to execute a normal operation by exchanging shift registers generated an erroneous operation. A gate driver includes plural stage pairs(ST1-STn), at least one or more dummy stage pairs(DST), and at least one or more dummy lines(L). The plural stage pairs output sequentially shift signals. The dummy lines are connected to the dummy stages so as to drive the dummy stages instead of at least one of the plural stage pairs. When stages in which normal scan signals are not generated, gate lines as output lines of abnormal stages are connected to the dummy stage pairs through the dummy lines such that an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device displays normal images. |
