PURPOSE: A piano and a sound effect providing device therefor are provided to offer an acoustic effect to piano sound by preventing damage to natural sound. CONSTITUTION: A detecting unit(120) detects a stroke of a string(5) using a hammer(4). A signal generating unit generates one or more sine waves including a frequency based on a basic frequency of the stroked string based on a detecting result of the detecting unit. A vibration unit(50) generates vibration according to the one or more sine waves. A vibration transfer structure transfers the generated vibration to the string.
