The method involves driving the pipe (10) into the soil by applying shear force or and applying tensile force and rubbing pipe by the traction unit. The ends (13,16) of the to-be-laid pipe are pressure-tightly closed, and fluid medium (12) is filled in the interior of the pipe. The pressure pulse on the medium is exerted into the pipe interior and the medium is propagated in the longitudinal direction of pipe. The fluidization of surrounding soil is caused due to the resulting piecewise migratory increase of the diameter of pipe.
