The domestic appliance (1) has housing (2), and a switch panel (3) that is attached to housing. The hood is made of carbon- fiber reinforced plastic (CFK). The switch panel includes a decorative layer made of carbon-fiber reinforced plastic and a backing layer made of metal or plastic. The backing layer is formed and adhered on decorative layer through adhesive, for mechanical stabilization of the switch panel.
