<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easy, quick, low-cost and stable deformation of the fiber reinforced composite panel, and enable manufacture of various shapes of a good quality product cheaply and in great quantity by forming a fiber reinforced composite panel while at least one surface thereof is caused to be in contact with a metal plate, without a part of the fiber reinforced composite panel fracturing and the occurrence of local irregular deformation such as necking in one part of the fiber reinforced composite panel. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a shaping method for shaping a plate shaped fiber reinforced composite panel, formed from a fiber reinforced composite material, using a shaping device 10 provided with a pair of metal dies. While at least either the top surface or the bottom surface of the fiber reinforced composite panel is brought into contact with a metal plate, the fiber reinforced composite panel is sandwiched between the pair of metal dies and shaping is carried out.
