<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can efficiently prevent an image failure caused due to an intermediate transfer belt pushed up by a trailing edge of a sheet passing through a secondary transfer nip, even when a sheet having high rigidity such as a thick sheet is used. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus includes a secondary transfer part transferring a toner image on an intermediate transfer belt 6 stretched by a plurality of rollers including a secondary transfer facing roller 71a to a sheet S conveyed to a secondary transfer nip formed between a secondary transfer roller 71b and the secondary transfer facing roller 71a, wherein an angle between the intermediate transfer belt 6 entering the secondary transfer nip and a plane including both rotation axes of the secondary transfer roller 71b and the secondary transfer facing roller 71a is less than 90°. The image forming apparatus includes a curl generation means (registration roller 22) for generating curl in a direction separated from the intermediate transfer belt 6 at a trailing edge part of the sheet S conveyed to the transfer nip. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
