PURPOSE: An apparatus for processing traffic information in an automatic tollgate and a controlling method thereof are provided to supply accurate traffic information to a tollgate employee by composing toll collection information and a plate number in a photographed image to display comprehensive traffic information. CONSTITUTION: The toll collection information is input to an external data processing unit(20). A license plate recognition unit(90) recognizes a plate number from an image. An image processing unit(40) composes the toll collection information and the plate number in a photographed image. A camera controller(50) controls the operation of a camera. An image output(100) transmits the image from the controller. |
