<p>The present invention relates to a device for adjusting the useful length of a bracelet comprising first and second free ends (2, 3), the adjusting device comprising a supporting structure (35, 75, 95) bearing an adjusting member (38, 78, 98, 220), intended to be secured to a first free end (3) of the bracelet and capable of sliding in the direction of the length of the bracelet with respect to the supporting structure, and a bracelet securing member (12), secured at least indirectly to the supporting structure (35, 75, 95, 230, 330) and intended to be secured to the second free end (2) of the bracelet. The device also comprises a jaw (54, 226, 326) able to move between inactive and active positions, notably under the effect of a predefined action by a user on a control member (56, 116, 240, 340) and designed to lock the adjusting member in the active position, and leave it free in the inactive position, so as to define a plurality of discrete adjustment positions in the longitudinal direction of the bracelet, two adjacent discrete positions defining a step length by which the useful length of the bracelet can be adjusted. The device is characterized in that it comprises an automatic conversion mechanism (42, 50, 51, 52, 54, 65, 68, 92, 107, 111, 128, 134, 135, 137, 252, 333, 348) designed to automatically convert the action of the user on the control member into a sliding of the adjusting member by one step, and allow the useful length of the bracelet to be adjusted.</p> |
