[Also in Division A1] A plant tie consists of a substantially O- shaped or 8-shaped yoke 3 having two end portions 1, 2 or 13, 14 which cross one another to form with the remainder of the yoke a substantially closed inner boundary of the tie and can be resiliently spread apart to form an opening at a narrow end of the tie, each end portion forming part of the inner boundary on one side of a centre line enclosing an acute angle with the centre line on one side and on the other end portion forming the part of the theo ther end portion forming the part of the boundary on the other side. As shown, the tie may be made from plastics wire, or flat strip and in the latter form, the part 10 may be flattened, Figs. 5 and 7 (not shown). In other forms, Figs. 6 and 8 (not shown), the free end portions are supported by side portions of the part 11. |
