摘要 PURPOSE: A driving method of an AC motor and a driving device thereof are provided to reduce the size and a manufacturing cost of the driving device of the AC motor by detecting the position of a stator autonomously without using an additional stator position detecting device. CONSTITUTION: A driving part(13) drives an AC motor(11) according to voltage applied by a control part(12). The control part comprises a driving control part(121) and a rotator position detecting part(122). The driving control part successively applies different D-axis voltages and different Q-axis voltages in a control injection period. The rotator position detecting part secures a rotator angle at a control injection cycle. The driving part comprises a driving voltage converting part(131) and a pulse width modulating part(132). The driving voltage converting part converts voltage applied by the control part into three phase AC voltage. The pulse width modulating part applies the three phase AC voltage from the driving voltage converting part to a stator of the AC motor with pulse width modulation.
