The present invention relates to a humidification-type air cleaner in which a switching means is switched to an off state so as to stop an operation of the air cleaner when a water reservoir contains insufficient water, and in which the switching means can be protected from moisture. The humidification-type air cleaner of the present invention comprises: an upper case in which an air suction fan for suctioning air is installed; a lower case which is detachably assembled on the upper case, and which has the water reservoir formed therein; a disk module rotated by the driving of a driving unit such that a portion of the disk module is dipped into the water reservoir of the lower case so as to adsorb foreign substances, bacteria, and the like from the air suctioned by the suction fan and thereby cause the adsorbed foreign substances, bacteria, and the like to be deposited in the water reservoir and then be removed, while supplying moisture to the air; a control unit having a control panel for controlling the operation of the suction fan and of the disk module; and a non-contact switching means which is embedded in the portion where the upper case and the lower case are opposite each other, and which switches the control unit to an operable state or to an inoperable state according to the level of water in the water reservoir. |
