PURPOSE: An electronic device and an external symbol manufacturing method thereof are provided to manufacture a symbol showing permanent color without using special printing. CONSTITUTION: A support layer(110) is formed. A first nano grating area corresponding to a predetermined symbol and a nano grating layer(120) including a second nano grating area corresponding to the external area of a predetermined symbol are formed on the support layer. The first nano grating area and the second nano grating area includes a 3D nano structure arranged by different pitches. The first nano grating area includes the 3D nano structure having a slit shape arranged by a first pitch. The second nano grating area includes a 3D nano structure having a slit shape arranged by the first pitch and a different second pitch.
