<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diversity receiver in which a weighting coefficient can be determined based on the output S/N of a frequency demodulator. <P>SOLUTION: The band of f<SB POS="POST">max</SB>-B/2 is obtained entirely or partially by passing the output from the frequency demodulation section of a branch 1 through a BPF section 202-1. In other words, the S(signal component) and the N(noise component) are calculated by passing the output from the frequency demodulation section through the BPF section 202-1. When passing the S(signal component) and the N(noise component) through a square operation unit 203-1, an averaging section 204-1, and a branch inverse operation unit 205-1, the S/N of the output from the frequency demodulation section of a branch 1 becoming the inverse of the output power from the BPF section 202-1 is obtained, and this S/N becomes the weighting coefficient of the branch 1. The weighting coefficient of the branch M is also obtained from the branch 1 similarly, even for the outputs from the frequency demodulation sections of the branches 2-M. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
