APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING SYNGAS CONTAINING CO AND H2 AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method to produce synthetic gas with carbon monoxide and hydrogen are provided to substantially reduce the carbon dioxide amount generated from an iron-foundry plant, to recycle the synthetic gas with carbon monoxide and hydrogen through for reducing iron ore or producing dimethyl ether. CONSTITUTION: A synthetic gas manufacturing method with carbon monoxide and hydrogen includes following steps; a step which pre-treats methane containing by-product gas from iron production; a step which pre-treats carbon dioxide containing by-product gas from iron production; a step in which the pre-treated methane containing by-product gas and carbon dioxide containing by-product gas from iron production generate mixed gas by mixing, and which increases pressure in certain pressure; a step which increases the temperature of the mixed gas with the increased pressure in certain temperature; and a step which reforms the mixed gas with the increased temperature into carbon monoxide reduction gas by supplying the mixed gas to a reforming reaction apparatus. The methane containing by-product gas from iron production is COG(Coke Oven Gas).
