<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine capable of reducing an amount of discharged powder dust. <P>SOLUTION: In a flange part 2b, a reservoir 2e for depositing a friction powder and the like is formed at a portion where air guided by a fan 20 strikes.
