The device has a plastic holding frame (12) fastened at an edge of a wall opening. A sleeve (24) and/or sleeves is/are arranged in a set of frame openings (18) of the holding frame for enclosing respective cables (22) and sealing the frame openings. The sleeve is provided with two-piece sleeve parts (26) made of foam material, where the sleeve parts are rested opposite to each other in contact surfaces (32) that turn opposite to each other. The respective cables are held between the sleeve parts under compression of the sleeve parts. An independent claim is also included for a cable sleeve for enclosing cables.
