The component (1) has a transponder (3) i.e. passive transponder, for monitoring and tracking the component, and a deactivation device i.e. inductive proximity switch (4), for automatic deactivation of the transponder, where the deactivation device is activatable by an external signal. The deactivation device comprises mechanical magnet relays (4.1) i.e. reed contact, that is activatable by an external produced magnetic field. An activation unit comprises a permanent magnet (4.2) and produces and emits a signal for activation of the deactivation device. An independent claim is also included for a device for receiving a component.
