The method involves providing additional information for a driver assistance system (5) in a section of a driving route, and displaying the additional information with respect to the driving route by using a graphical symbol such as colored mark. The additional information comprises an availability of the driver assistance system, where the driver assistance system availability is displayed based on the driving route. A decision is taken over a representation of availability of the additional information of a computing unit (3) i.e. data server, of a vehicle (1).
